Job Purpose:

  • The Northwest Company is a growing Licensed Textile company based on Long Island in Roslyn, NY and we are seeking a packaging designer! We are looking for a forward-thinking graphic designer that is detailed oriented. A great multitasker that can excel in a fast-paced environment. This person would be using licensed guides to prepare production ready files for print. They would also have the opportunity to develop new and exciting packaging ideas for new products.

Qualifications:

  1. Skilled in Illustrator and Photoshop. InDesign a plus, but not required
  2. Microsoft Outlook and Excel
  3. Excellent organizational and project management skills
  4. Attention to detail is a must
  5. Excellent communication and presentation skills
  6. Highly motivated and can work in a fast-paced environment
  7. Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  8. Mockups and renderings
  9. Retouching and editing images in Photoshop as needed
  10. Previous knowledge in Licensing is a plus, but not required
  11. Digital Photography and cleanup is a plus, but not required

Able to forecast for key partners in the world of entertainment licensing. The Licensing Manager with work with the Vice President of Licensing, the Sales team and our licensing partners (including Disney, Nickelodeon, Marvel, Lucas, Warner Brothers and many more) to develop tools and reports that align with licensors’ brand strategies, as well internal planning team to achieve sales goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Negotiation and Management of contracts, partnerships and overall communication within all internal teams to ensure we are both compliant as well as on plan to achieve our licensors sales goals
  2. Must have excellent communication skills both verbal and written to ensure all matters are properly communicated to both internal and external teams

Requirements:

  1. College degree preferred

Job Purpose:

  • The Northwest Company, a leader in Licensed Home Textiles is seeking a Licensing Analyst with strong financial and a solid analytical background to create comprehensive forecasts for key partners in the world of entertainment licensing. The Licensing Analyst will work with the Vice President of Licensing, the Sales team and our licensing partners (including Disney, Nickelodeon, Marvel, Lucas, Warner Brothers and many more) to develop financial tools and reports that align with licensors’ brand strategies, as well internal planning team to achieve sales goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare customized and comprehensive quarterly forecasts and annual budgets for all licensors utilizing JDE and Excel.
  2. Work with Sales and Licensing teams to gain an understanding of sales trends and new opportunities to factor into forecasts.
  3. Participate in forecast calls with Vice President of Licensing and licensing partners.
  4. Keep senior management updated on retailer sales and licensing sales performance across the division.
  5. Provide financial information and analysis by licensor/property/item/gender for internal and external purposes.
  6. Maintain historical data to assist in future forecasting and budgeting.
  7. Prepare detailed documents and reports (shipping recaps, placement, selling, etc.) while managing complex internal and external data analysis.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance or a related field preferred
  2. 3+ years of experience in similar role involving retail planning, forecasting and/or sales analysis.
  3. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Office
  4. JDE skills
  5. Strong analytical and technical skills
  6. Character licensing background is preferred
  7. Demonstrated experience working with multiple data sources
  8. Ability to successfully collaborate with internal and external customers in a partnership to achieve goals

Inside Sales Rep

Job Purpose:

  • The Inside Sales rep will be responsible for managing a list of B2b customers & potential leads, help manage various accounts at the direction of the VP of Sports Sales and the coordination of the various trade shows that Northwest attends. This position reports directly to the VP of Sports Sales. The inside sales team will own all aspects of operating trade shows including working with the sales & brand teams and event coordinator to plan out each show, oversee and execute the set up and breakdown of each show and work with customers and the sales team at each show.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Call on and manage a list of accounts provided by the VP of Sports Sales using a combination of phone calls, B2b emails and face to face (when appropriate) meetings to drive customer business.
  2. Seek out potential leads for new B2b customers through both their own methods as well as lists/direction provided by the VP of Sports Sales.
  3. Provide customer service and support for the accounts they are responsible for.
  4. Call on or assist with various Northwest accounts at the direction of the VP of Sports Sales. This may include travel if deemed appropriate.
  5. Work with sales, brand and event planning teams to help plan out logistics & needs for the various trade shows Northwest attends.
  6. At trade shows will be responsible for set-up & breakdown of booths.
  7. At trade shows will be responsible for meeting with & selling customers that come into the booth as well as assisting the sales & brand teams as needed.
  8. Work with B2b admin and VP of Sports Sales to help create & drive various B2b sales campaigns (i.e.-

  • The design coordinator will be responsible for organizing the workflow for the creative team. This person will be responsible to receive all inbound requests and arrange them systematically for the team leaders to review, plan and complete timely.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Receive all inbound emails, requests and purchase orders and create a data file with the key information and deadlines
  2. Track the progress of each department and produce a daily report on what was accomplished, what is open and what projects are at risk of missing their deadline
  3. Assist and support each department within the creative team to ensure timelines are met and processes are documented
  4. Generate a capacity report to help establish the volume of work that can be completed in each department within the design team

Qualifications:

  1. College graduate, preferably with art or design background
  2. Proficient with excel, advanced user (V-lookups, pivots etc.)
  3. Strong organizational and project management skill set

Domestic Production Coordinator

Job Purpose:

  • The Production Coordinator will be the liaison between The Northwest and the various domestic 3rd party providers who make, produce, assembly and or ship goods on our behalf. This person is responsible to ensure we maintain a timely and efficient flow of goods for all channels of our distribution model. They will work closely with company personnel to ensure the initiatives and priorities are clearly communicated to the operating facilities.

Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  1. Ensure each production location has proper direction, spec sheets, packaging requirements and shipping details needed to ensure all orders ship timely and in accordance with our customers’ requirements.
  2. Monitoring the open order report by location to ensure timely delivery to our retail partners.
  3. Review inventory levels for all components and packaging material needed for production. Address issues where needed.
  4. Work with Planning team to create a forecast for those customers who have weekly or monthly replenishment. The forecast must be reviewed with the corresponding location.
  5. Review production schedule weekly with each location. Report any issues or concerns.
  6. Work closely with account managers to ensure there is an open line of communication on all projections, orders and shipments.

Qualifications and Experience:

  1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a production environment or coordinating production functions, textiles a plus.
  2. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Office 365.
  3. Any JD Edwards experience a plus.
  4. Excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
  5. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
