Position:

  • Reporting to the VP of Business Development for Bags and Accessories. The Business Coordinator is responsible to Assist the executive staff and Act as a liaison between department executives, internal groups and external groups ensuring that all business deadlines are met.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. The Project Manger position will be adapted to challenge your current experience and skill sets
  2. Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
  3. Report and escalate to management as needed
  4. Monitor project progress and identify and troubleshoot any issues that arise
  5. Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  6. Act as the point of contact for all participants
  7. Assist executives and sales team in preparing materials for presentations
  8. Research information and draft letters and documents for executive team
  9. Generate and analyze reports directed by executive team to monitor department measurable benchmarks
  10. Script photography direction for studio of all images in the line needed for ecommerce
  11. Assist in checking copy for NW assets featured on company website or retail partner sites.
  12. Assist in merchandising showroom for buyer and licensor meetings.
  13. Assist in set up and breakdown at trade shows.

Job Requirements:

  1. Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, and JDE system
  2. Hands-on experience with project management tools (e.g. Asana, Basecamp or Trello)
  3. Strong project management and execution skills
  4. Proven ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally
  5. Strong communication skills

  1. Extremely organized and adapts quickly to change
  2. Can troubleshoot quickly and has a positive attitude
  3. Self-motivator who is proactive and constantly looking for more efficient and effective ways to execute a process
  4. This role is quite teachable. Understanding how the Accessories department works along with which functions overlap to facilitate great product design, development (production) and sales will be key to excelling in this space. Along with having a can-do attitude.

DOMESTIC PRODUCTION COORDINATOR

Job Purpose:

  • The Production Coordinator will be the liaison between The Northwest and the various domestic 3rd party providers who make, produce, assembly and or ship goods on our behalf. This person is responsible to ensure we maintain a timely and efficient flow of goods for all channels of our distribution model. They will work closely with company personnel to ensure the initiatives and priorities are clearly communicated to the operating facilities.

Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  1. Ensure each production location has proper direction, spec sheets, packaging requirements and shipping details needed to ensure all orders ship timely and in accordance with our customers’ requirements.
  2. Monitoring the open order report by location to ensure timely delivery to our retail partners.
  3. Review inventory levels for all components and packaging material needed for production. Address issues where needed.
  4. Work with Planning team to create a forecast for those customers who have weekly or monthly replenishment. The forecast must be reviewed with the corresponding location.
  5. Review production schedule weekly with each location. Report any issues or concerns.
  6. Work closely with account managers to ensure there is an open line of communication on all projections, orders and shipments.

Qualifications and Experience:

  1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a production environment or coordinating production functions, textiles a plus.
  2. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Office 365.
  3. Any JD Edwards experience a plus.
  4. Excellent communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
  5. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to walk and stand. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, handle or feel, to pull/push cart with product, grasp and perform repetitive hand, wrist and arm motions. The employee may be required to climb, kneel/squat, bend and carry. The employee occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds, and seldom lifts and/or moves up to 60 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in new product development for upcoming meeting and markets
  2. Collaborate between design, development and production on accurate pricing & accurate specs
  3. Will be working closely with Director of Product Development and product design team
  4. Requesting and filing pricing from factories
  5. Follow up daily with all factories, to ensure products achieve necessary milestones
  6. Investigate and assist as needed in trouble shooting problems related to patterns, construction, fill and embellishments
  7. Track samples and quality check/measure samples that come in against spec created
  8. Determine construction standards, grading rules, and acceptable variances for new products
  9. Research and resolve pattern and construction issues
  10. Drive and evolve a Technical Design strategy; operations, methods, measures of effectiveness

Job Requirements:

  1. The ideal candidate needs to be able to multitask and must be a team player
  2. Must have great organizational, and communication skills.
  3. MUST be deadline-driven and pro-active with a strong sense of priority and follow-through
  4. Needs to have experience creating spec sheets and tech packs for designs to be given to factories with detailed instruction on sizes, fabrication, fill, GSM’s
  5. Needs to be available to speak with China when necessary at night
  6. Drive for continual improvement and innovation within PD department
  7. Open to possible travel to China if needed
  8. Will help with showroom setup and breakdown
  9. Material/fabrication knowledge is a plus
  10. Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Microsoft Office
