Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Design & Prepare packaging layouts and files for printing and production, overseas and domestically.
  2. Must know how to create die lines and develop new packaging ideas
  3. Must be able to design quality work using a Branding / Style guide
  4. Must know how to prepare print ready files and understand printing process for production orders
  5. Must do Mock-ups
  6. Must do proof approvals via email from manufacturers and sign off on mass production printing
  7. Must be detail oriented and have strong organization and communication skills
  8. Must have experience with packaging, licensing a plus
  9. Must Work closely with product development and product design team
  10. Must understand submission and approval process with licensors

Production Artist

Overview:

  • The Production artist will support the production team and Entertainment project coordinators while maintaining a close relationship with factories involving pending new concept samples, for the licensor, production samples, and pending production orders.

Key Accountabilities:

  1. Review and post new/old concept files to factory for sampling or pending Production Order
  2. Advise factory of posting per new sampling or Production Order and follow-up on receipt
  3. Review photos received from factory and assess according to callout sheet/art file
  4. Request set quantity from factory for pre-production licensor sample approval
  5. Review samples received with creative director/designated artist and advise project coordinators to proceed to licensor
  6. Once pre-production samples are approved by licensor, request set production quantity from factory for project coordinator submissions
  7. Review pre-production and production status with production team and new order set ups
  8. Work closely with factory to adhere to production order sheets and description for packaging and art related concerns

Required Skills/Abilities/Education:

  1. 3-5+ years industry experience as a production artist or similar background
  2. Mechanical building and printing knowledge
  3. Expertise with Adobe Creative Suite in a Mac environment
  4. Must be able to juggle multiple projects, personalities
  5. Meticulous with design details
  6. Working knowledge of CAD tools in Adobe Illustrator is a huge plus
  7. Must have ability to take an approved design and reconfigure to different sizes, formats, etc. and making them print ready
  8. Must have a valid passport and ability to travel to factory

Junior Designer/Associate Designer

Overview:

  • The Junior/Assistant Designer will provide overall support to the Entertainment Design team by assisting in downloading trending entertainment licensor guides, developing new concepts, creating tech packs/callouts, and assembling presentations and boards for sales representatives and retailers.

Key Accountabilities:

  1. Develop CAD designs using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator using most up-to-date Entertainment license guides.
  2. Help maintain line reviews per entertainment property with other designers
  3. Create and collaborate with other designers to create a presentation for sale representatives and retailers.
  4. Assess and report to creative director for any guidance on development, concepts, projects and assessments.
  5. Create tech packs/callouts of new concept development for licensor submission
  6. Revise and size new concepts for licensor and factory postings per style specifications
  7. Receive and review samples with designers and send any sample comments to factories
  8. Meet all deadlines in adherence to the quarterly sales-design calendar

Required Skills/Abilities/Education:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic/ Textile Design

Entry Level Project Coordinator

Job Purpose:

  • We are looking for a responsible Entry Level Project Coordinator to administer and organize packaging projects within our art department. Project Coordinator responsibilities include working closely with our Packaging Team to prepare posting emails, direct contact to our factories, following up on postings and approvals, as well as working within the department to ensure all approvals are met. You will perform various coordinating tasks, like coordinating the team to ensure approvals are being taken care of, factories are following through with proofing, along with administrative duties, like maintaining project documentation and filing for future reference if needed. To succeed in this role, you should have excellent time management and communication skills, as you’ll collaborate with internal teams and factory contacts to deliver results on deadlines. Ultimately, the Project Coordinator’s duties are to ensure that all projects are completed on time, with approvals from licensors and artists and meet high-quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate project management activities and information
  2. Break projects into doable actions and set time frames when needed
  3. Assign tasks to internal teams and assist with approval management
  4. Make sure that company needs are met as projects evolve
  5. Oversee project approvals within the department and factories
  6. Monitor project progress and handle any issues that arise
  7. Updating assembly Instructions.
  8. Act as the point of contact and communicate project status to all participants
  9. Work with the Packaging Manager to eliminate blockers
  10. Proofing packaging, including hang tags, inserts, bellybands, header cards, care and law labels.
  11. Point of contact for any issues that arise with proofs, labels, placement etc. for all factories.
  12. Use tools to monitor work flow, approvals and proofing
  13. Ensure standards and requirements are met through conducting quality assurance tests

Requirements:

  1. Proven work experience as a Project Coordinator or similar role
  2. Experience in project management is preferred, but not required
  3. Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management
  4. Strong communication and teamwork skills
  5. Working knowledge of Microsoft based programs
  6. Some file editing and posting of files to server, knowledge of Adobe programs helpful.
  7. Hands-on experience with project management tools (e.g. Basecamp or Trello
  8. 2 Year of experience preferred, but not required

Experience:

  3. Assist and support each department within the creative team to ensure timelines are met and processes are documented

Qualifications:
